UGT denounced in Brussels that the Spanish policy for young employment is inadequate
By: Fernando Benavente. Spain
The General Union of Workers (UGT) denounced in Brussels the lack of interest on the part of the Spanish Government to implement a youth employment policy agreed with the social partners and that the Strategy for Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment in Spain will remain a failure if no measures are taken in deep.
This was said during the intervention of the UGT at the Conference "Actions on Youth Employment. Achievements and Future Challenges "organized by the European social partners last June, which aims to facilitate the drafting of the final evaluation on the EU Youth Employment Action Framework to be adopted in the autumn of 2017.
The UGT said that if the Spanish Government continues with its position, we will reach the end of 2020 with a failed plan and asked the European Commission to adequately control the measures that are developed under community plans.
